How to Use Overwhelm to Propel Your Life Forward

happy new year

Happy 2013!

Dear friend,

Welcome to a whole new year!

I’ve just gotten back from my travel adventures in Thailand (photos and travel blog post to come!), where I spent most of my time soaking in the beautiful vibes of the place.

When I got home late Saturday night, I had a huge mental list of things to do in my mind. Come Sunday morning, I  knew I had so many emails to reply, ideas to write down, posts to complete – yet I would not budge!

I was stuck in overwhelm mode.
(cue: le sigh)

Anyway, this post isn’t about that how I wouldn’t budge.

This post is all about how to get out of this state AND into a place of constant movement.

When you’re in this constant motion space, you’ll have a continuous stream of opportunities and abundance flowing to you.

This is because this place is designed to keep you moving forward automatically- even if you take a break.

I know you may find yourself in overwhelm mode from time to time (I know I do), and the key is really in shortening the amount of time you spend feeling overwhelmed and dedicating that time to nourishing yourself + creating a self-sustaining life! (And also celebrating overwhelm!!)

The best way to conquer overwhelm and fear is to take action.

Fear and Fate

1. Understand Why You Feel Overwhelmed

If you’re anything like me, you want to know WHY things happen.

When you understand why things happen, you’ll be able to figure out HOW you can use these situations in your benefit and maximize your gains!

Remember, nothing is bad or good – it’s how we perceive and act upon them that decides if it’s a win/loss or good/bad.

Feeling overwhelmed is just a sign that you’re on the border of your comfort zone, it’s where you’ve reached your upper limit.

It’s a place where you get to decide – should I proceed into my zone of genius, into the area of infinite possibilities, OR will I stay stuck inside my comfort zone and live in the fear of never knowing the greatness I am capable of receiving?

Understanding overwhelm is basically deciding if you want to go forward or stay stuck.

2. Take Action

Feel the fear and do it anyway.

On that note, be kind and gentle to yourself if need be. If need be, take a day off, but don’t wait too long because inaction breeds inaction, which leads to procrastination and stuckness.

3. Get Accountable

Tell your friends, family, dog, cat, everyone you know about what it is you are going to achieve (how, by when, and why).

Hire a coach, a personal trainer, or form your own mastermind group to hold yourself accountable to your actions (from step two).

4. Create A Supportive Environment

Find like-minded people and mastermind + inspire with each other.

Because this is SO important, I’ve made it clear from day one that the Happy Healthy Abundant in 6 Weeks eCourse comes with a private mastermind group where you’ll be able to strategize with awesome women.

I’m SO thankful to be a part of the Aussie BSchool community as well as other groups I’m actively a part of.

Apart from physically creating a magical space… a supportive network is essential. Build a network of like-minded friends with the same goals as you, who will motivate each other to keep moving forward.

I whole-heartedly invite  you to join the Happy Healthy Abundant mastermind group, where you’ll be able to make your health goals, business ideas and creative ventures a reality.

What Holds Most People Back (Make Sure You’re Not One of Them!)

The main blocks that hold so many people back from their geniuses are …

FEAR (inaction due to feeling uneasy or uncertain)

Remember, as you take action you create momentum that allows future actions to become much much easier. Trust me.

The hardest part is taking the first step.

Everything unfolds so effortlessly after you’ve committed to the four steps above.

After feeling a lil’ overwhelmed, I understood that the reason I felt this way is because I’m experiencing massive growth in my biz that I’ve never had before. I took Sunday off to sleep in, hang out with my sister, watch Suze Orman, play games on the iPad, and today — I’m back in action again.

My wish for you?

I sincerely hope that if you’re stuck right now, know that you’re only holding yourself back.

Take a small action today that will create ripple effects for tomorrow.

Lots of Love,

Jia Ni x
